La Pommerie is all about respect for nature and others
Over the past 50 years, La Pommerie has defined a series of rules for community life to enable everyone to enjoy the quality of life on the site.
La Pommerie’s ethics aim to enhance the quality of our physical and social environment, and to counter offensive behavior. It is the responsibility of the La Pommerie team to ensure that ethics are respected.
The practice of nudism
To enable everyone to enjoy nudism with ease, nudity is requested whenever the weather permits. That’s why wearing a bathing suit or underwear is strictly forbidden. For those who wish to keep their knickers on, we ask you to tie a towel around your waist like a loincloth.
When the weather is cooler, or if a person needs to cover up for health reasons, we ask you to avoid being present in communal areas such as the pool or lake, to avoid upsetting other nudists.
If the practice of a sport requires the wearing of equipment or clothing, dressing and undressing must take place at the sports venue, to avoid having to walk around dressed.
It is forbidden to go naked outside the premises or to have physical body-to-body contact in public places such as the pool, the lake, the playgrounds or the dance hall. People who choose to dance naked must avoid intimate physical contact. Failure to do so may result in dismissal without refund.
Respect for nature and others
Any solicitation or offensive behavior is prohibited.
The accommodation areas must be quiet and relatively silent after 11pm.
The use of radios is forbidden on the site.
Use of cell phones should be kept to a minimum, and in vibrating mode if possible. If this becomes essential, the ringing should be as discreet as possible.
Photographs are prohibited without the formal agreement of the administration and the persons photographed.
Motorized traffic is prohibited on the site.
The speed limit for cars is 14 km/h from the entrance to the crab trees and 9 km/h elsewhere on the site.
It is forbidden to uproot flowers from rock gardens and members’ plots, or vegetables from community gardens.
Walking with open bottles or cans is not permitted on the grounds. Drinks may be consumed at the picnic site or on the village terrace.
It is compulsory to use a towel on public benches.
Fires are prohibited except in designated areas.
Pets are not allowed on site.
Firearms and compressed-air weapons are prohibited on the grounds, as is the killing of animals.
Pool and lake
Children may not swim without the supervision of a responsible adult. Lifeguards are not responsible for your children. Children in diapers or briefs are allowed in the wading pool only.
It is forbidden to eat or drink in the pool area, with the exception of non-breakable (and preferably reusable!) water bottles.
Full nudism is mandatory in the pool area and around the lake. Contact between two naked bodies is prohibited in the pool area and around the lake.
Zoning and land development
Only motorized vehicles, caravans, tent trailers and tents are permitted on a pitch. Only one household per site; no two or more families may occupy the same site.
All artificial decorative elements are forbidden: fences, posters, sculptures, objects, chains, numbers, decorative lights, etc.
Clotheslines are tolerated if they meet the following two conditions: they must be located in an inconspicuous place out of sight, and they must be less than 1 metre long.
Cars must be parked in the designated areas.
To avoid dazzling our neighbors and to preserve its natural character, outdoor lighting on the visitor’s property should be kept to a minimum, located at a low height, switched on only occasionally and when necessary, and in no case should the bulb used exceed 40 watts. Automatic lights are not permitted.
Radio and television are permitted inside the trailer or tent-trailer as long as the sound is not audible from the neighborhood. The use of musical instruments is authorized on the site before 11 p.m. as long as the noise does not affect the neighbors and the frequency of use is reasonable. After 11 p.m., music may be played at the lake light until midnight. Exceptions will be made for the Saturday night disco, and for certain celebrations that have gone down in the history of La Pommerie.
Nothing may be attached to trees without prior authorization.
Out of respect for your neighbors, no fires may be lit before 9 a.m. in the morning. All fires must be extinguished before going to bed.
La Pommerie is not responsible for accidents (falls, injuries, etc.) nor for lost, stolen or damaged objects on the grounds.
